To ensure that genetic diversity is maintained as the foundation of a resilient forested landscape in Ontario.

Our Goals
To assist forest practitioners to conserve the genetic diversity of southern Ontario forests, by implementing 4 strategies:

1. Species Recovery
   • Effectively deliver on and champion recovery efforts through functional and conservation-based programming
2. Seed Expertise
   • Leading efforts to increase the volume of high-quality source-identified tree seed
3. Climate Change Adaptation
   • Improve the collective knowledge of new and applicable science and support climate change readiness
4. Knowledge Exchange
   • Maintain a sustainable and effective knowledge and technology dissemination program
