The FGCA offers Custom Group Seed Training opportunities for organizations or groups looking to explore the world of seed collection or other seed expertise related topics (most often with groups of 15+).
Customizable topic examples include:
- Seed Collection 101
- Increasing your organization’s capacity for seed collection and or processing/handling/storage activities
- Creating local seed collection networks
- Seed collection for landowners and woodlot managers
- Seed collection and certification standards for municipalities
- Managing seed collections for reforestation
This format is typically a single day, in-person training where participants do not receive certification so we can best focus on the group’s specific training needs.
Custom Group Seed Training opportunities have limited availability and are not run year round or offered in all areas. Generally custom group training is coordinated in the winter/early spring for the coming season of workshops.
