The Forest Gene Conservation Association has completed Butternut Health Assessor (BHA) workshops for 2019 and notified all successful candidates as per our delivery contract. There are currently no more workshops scheduled.
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) is now responsible for all matters pertaining to the Butternut Health Assessor program under the Endangered Species Act.
Please contact SAROntario@ontario.ca to register for the BHA certification waiting list, ask questions, concerns, submit applications, documents supporting applications, reports and other products required to be formally submitted under the ESA.
If you have any questions about FGCA’s independent Butternut Recovery Program, we would be very happy to hear from you. Please contact Heather Zurbrigg (firstname.lastname@example.org) to report tolerant trees, find out about archiving those trees, seed collection and planting of source-identified butternut stock.
